2010 Coachella Valley Bass Anglers

"To Promote Bass Fishing in the Coachella Valley and to bring together Anglers with a mutual interest in Bass Fishing for Camaraderie, Competition and Learning"

General Information

Membership:

Open to persons Sixteen years and Older.

Dues:

Dues are $40.00 per year, payable at the January Meeting of each year.

Club Proceedings:

Meetings and Tournament Draws shall be held the first Tuesday of each month unless otherwise notified by mail, telephone or meeting by one of the Board Members 

Meeting time is 7:00

Meeting location is Cactus Jacks in Palm Desert.

Tournaments:

Tournament Sites are to be selected by the Board of Directors.  Changes to approved schedule may be submitted to the Tournament Director, in writing, and will be considered by the Board of Directors.

All Tournaments will be "Draw Tournaments" for Boaters and Non-boaters.  The Draw will be held at the Monthly Meeting prior to the Event unless notified in by the Board of Directors.

All Tournaments shall be held on the Second Saturday of the Month unless notified by e-mail, phone or meeting by one of the Officers.

Entry fee shall be $40.00 per person for One day Tournaments and $55.00 for Two Day Tournaments.  There shall be a  $20.00 100% Payback Pool, $5.00 Big Fish (each day for two day tournaments), $10.00 Boat Gotto (each day for two day tournaments), $5.00 Club Operations breakdown for all entry fees.

Late entries to tournaments (Anglers not in the Original Draw) will be assessed an additional $10.00 to the entry fee.  All Tournament entries must be accepted at Least 24 Hours prior to Launch.

An angler may not draw the same partner for any two scheduled Tournaments or Tournament Days in a row.

Legal Tournament Fish must be 13 inches long.  Largemouth, Spotted, and Small Mouth Bass, Measured on a "Belly Board" with mouth closed, verified by a fellow competitor, qualify as a Legal Fish.

All Legal Fish must be Weighed and Verified with a fellow competitor, with a scale Approved and Calibrated by the Tournament Director.

All legal fish must be released immediately after weighing and verification.

Competitors fishing alone must "Live-well" all legal fish until a fellow competitor can Weigh and verify the catch.

Anglers must observe State Fish and Game Laws and Regulations or they will be Disqualified.  Boaters must conform to all Coast Guard Regulations or they will be Disqualified.  All Violations must be reported to the Tournament Director at the Weigh-in. 

In some cases the club fishes lakes with a 15 inch limit.  The Tournament Director will make the Final Decision regarding Legal Tournament Length for that event.

Starting and Finishing times shall be decided by the Tournament Director, Period.

The Penalty for being late to a Weigh-in is Disqualification.

A Guest (a Non- member for the past two years) may fish in one Club Tournament on a "One Time Only Basis", Provided that the required Entry Fee for the Event has been paid in full.  If a guest fishes more than once during the year then they are considered a Member for a Day.

A Member for a Day (a Member within the past two years) may fish with the club for an additional $10.00 fee per event.  The Member for a Day may accumulate Points but does not accumulate fees towards the membership dues.

Tournament Director shall have the Final Word in all Tournament Related Matters.  All Protests must be filed with the Tournament Director Prior to the Final Weigh-in, in writing.
